He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter M. Cieslak and Mary Cieslak (Borysko); his former wife Lottie Cieslak; and his brothers, Leo and Ed Cieslak.

He is survived by: his children, Wally E. Cieslak (Cindy), Diane DeBaere (John) and MaryAnn Markling; and his grandchildren, Walter T. Cieslak (Jennifer), Mary Barta (Matt) and Thomas Markling.
