It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Masao Umekubo (Seal Beach, California), who passed away on March 17, 2018, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his siblings, Tsutomu "Tootie" Umekubo and Ikue Akashi (Norio) of Japan; and his nieces and nephews, Cari Casillas (Charles) of Japan, Cathi Nagafuchi (Brien) of Japan, Aimee Yamada of Japan, Suzanne Kitchens (John) of Japan, Masako Hirai of Japan, Hiroyuki Akashi of Japan, Dennis Yamanaka (Sharon) and Edwin Yamanaka (Janice). He is also survived by many grandnieces and grandnephews.
