She was predeceased by: her mother Judith Noel Kern. She is survived by: her father Roger Kern of Scotts Valley; her daughters, Judy, Debbie and Lily; and her birth mother Debie Whitley of Capitola. She is also survived by children.

The effects of the pandemic shifted her focus to enable her to work from home.
