He was predeceased by: his father Joe Sousa Volta; his siblings, Anita of Santa Clara, Monica of Livermore, Melissa (Travis) of Texas and Victor of Alameda; his nieces, Lauren (Jon), Katelyn, Isabella and Lucy; and his nephew Travis (Sabrina).

He is survived by: his mother Jymme Lou Volta of Santa Clara; his wife Diana (Bilic); his children, Joseph and Daniella; his uncle Lee Volta; his aunt Jackie Volta of Brentwood; his mother-in-law Radoyka Bilic; and his brother-in-law Nicholas Bilic. He is also survived by 13 first cousins.
