It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Lillian O'Connell (Saratoga, California), who passed away on April 19, 2023, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marie Bridge and John W. Bridge of Butte, Montana.; her husbands, John Malneritch and Ken O'Connell; her stepson Dave; her siblings, Shirley, Betty and Bill; her son-in-law Pete Huttlinger; and her grandchildren, Megan O'Connell and Jeff Woods.
She is survived by: her daughters, Joanie Woods (Neal) of Seattle, Pat Huttlinger (late Pete) of San Jose and Mary Malneritch (Phil Dye) of San Jose; and her stepchildren, Ken O'Connell Jr. (Patricia) of Lincoln, Colleen O'Connell of Eugene and Kelly O'Connell of Santa Cruz. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
We will all remember her welcoming smile, sense of humor, charity, thoughtfulness, classiness, passion for politics and delicious meals and pies.
