She was predeceased by: her parents, Guido Baratta and Gilda Baratta. She is survived by: her husband George Alves; her sons, Michael Alves (Barbara) and Marc Alves (Tina); her sister Jo Ann Weingart (Frank); and her grandchildren, Rachel Alves, Elleanna Gilmore and Ted Barton. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
