He was predeceased by: his son Guillermo Buenrostro; and his granddaughter Diana Rodriguez. He is survived by: his wife Beatriz Fernandez Buenrostro; and his children, Rosendo Jr. (Martha), Alfred (Rachel), Jesse (Rosa), Richard, Beatriz (Rudy) and Elizabeth. He is also survived by 22 Grandchildren, 24 Great-Grandchildren and 13 Great-great grandchildren.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private service will be held at a later date.
