He was predeceased by: his siblings, Stanley Robert Tanner and Geraldine Sorensen; and his parents, William Stanley Tanner and Elizabeth Arline Poulton. He is survived by: his wife Diane Zundel Tanner; his children, Laura Jenkins, Thomas Tanner, Tessy Oertel, Kathleen Vargas and Amy Tanner; his grandchildren, Timothy Hester, Julie Beaumont, David Hester, Jonathan Hester, Sara Stone, Julie Salinas, Joan Garcia, John Tanner, Samuel Tanner, Benjamin Tanner, Keira Tanner, Nathaniel Oertel, Jaynee Vaca, Gregory Oertel, Kyle Oertel, Tanner Oertel, Nicholus Vargas, Reanna Livingston, Steven Vargas and Josalynn Vargas; and his sister Irene Skinner.
