She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Col. James Arthur Thomas, Jr. (Jim), Kathryn Ann Jordan (Kirk) and Michael Edward Thomas (Nery); her parents, Harry Burke and Gertrude Burke; her grandchildren, Sean (Jen), Jeff, Meagan (Jeff), Colin (Kathy) of Brian, Meg (Sam), Edie (Robert), Michael (Stephanie) and Christopher (Angel); and also Edie Marie Thomas. She was also cherished by her 22 great grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.
