He is survived by: his wife Catherine Lawson of Diana; his sons, Ronald Lawson (Pat) of Seattle and Robert Lawson (Cathy) of Forney; his sister Joanne Peterson of Gardnerville, Nevada; and his grandchildren, Shawna Turner, Chris Lawson, Patton Lawson, Zachary Poorman, Jacob Poorman, Matthew Poorman, Timothy Poorman, Lillyanna Poorman, Elizabeth Poorman, Selah Poorman and Breindel Poorman. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
