He was predeceased by: his son Mario C Souza; and his wife Virginia R. Souza (Lozano). He is survived by: his children, Vernon R Souza, Jr. (Bobby), Richard L. Souza, Michael T. Souza (Teresa Souza) and Angela L Burris; his siblings, Melvia Blachford, Elizabeth-Ann Motoyama and Rodney Souza; and his grandchildren, Christopher Souza, Chelsea Souza, Alisha Souza, Mandy Souza, Malia Burris and Mario Karschner.
