With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas Alworth Shafer (Santa Maria, California), born in Reno, Nevada, who passed away on October 22, 2020 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Shafer and Elizabeth Alworth Shafer; and his siblings, Jack Shafer and Mary Dorsey Eagles. He is survived by: his wife Mary Shafer; his daughters, Margie Robbins (Cliff) of San Mateo, Anne Schmitt (Mike) of Santa Ana and Jane Larson (Will) of Centennial; and his granddaughters, Caroline Robbins, Kate, Evelyn, Colleen Schmitt, Mary Jane and Sarah Larson. He is also survived by many loving in-laws, nieces and nephews.
