It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sofia Cantú of Santa Maria, California, who passed away on April 4, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Canuto Peña and Isidra; and her daughter Anna Maria Piñon (Macario Antonio Cantú). She is survived by: her husband Antonio; her children, Marco Cantú (Vilma) of Nipomo, Sandra Cantú (Gutiérrez) and Alberto Cantú of Santa María; her grandchildren, Juan Cantú, Alfredo Cavazos, Jonathan Cantú, Anna María Del Rio, Andrea Lee, April Toledo, Myra Pérez, Monique Gutiérrez, Michelle Gutiérrez, Maricsa Cantú and Ezmeralda Cantú Smith; and her brother Claudio Peña. She is also survived by 13 Great GrandChildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
