He was predeceased by: his father Ted Masalta; and his grandparents, Herb and Beverly Criqui. He is survived by: his mother Leetta Criqui Del Rio; his stepfather David; his sister Miranda; his half-sister Crystal; his brother-in-law Martin; his children, Selena and Nate Jr.; and his grandchildren, Sophia, Jojo and Isaiah. He is also survived by many Nieces and Nephews, Aunts and Uncles.
