We are sad to announce that on April 12, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Manuel Chaves of Santa Maria, California. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family. He was predeceased by: his parents, João Soares Chaves and Maria Andrade Carvalho; his son Paul Manuel Chaves; and his siblings, Antonio Chaves (Helena Chaves), João Chaves, José Chaves and Maria Chaves Leandres.

He is survived by: his wife Maria Eugenia Chaves; his daughters, Arlene Chaves and Suzanne Chaves; his grandchildren, Michael Fong, Nicole Fong, Jaime Fong, Dane Chaves-Delaney, Aili Chaves and Paige Jones; and his siblings, Francisco Chaves, Silvino Chaves (Maria Chaves) and Filomena Chaves (Antonio Chaves). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
