He was predeceased by: his parents, Estella Moreno Domingues and Henry Alviso Harper; his wife Patsy Harper; his daughter Julia Harper; and his brother Jack Harper.
He is survived by: his children, Gilbert Jr., Joseph, Christina (Edward) and Patrick (Cyndi). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, numerous cousins, and many, many friends.
