He was predeceased by: his daughter Jennifer Silveira Evans; and his parents, Manuel Silveira and Amelia Silveira. He is survived by: his wife Pat Lowe Silveira; his children, Mel Silveira, Jr. (Alisha) of Hollister, Jeffrey Silveira (Leigh) of Tampa, FL and Leoni Davis; and his sister Barbara O'Shea of Oliver, BC..
