He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Lee and Lytha May Koger; and his girlfriend Ruth Johnson. He is survived by: his son Thorton Thorpe; and his sisters, B. J. Heitz, Carolyn Ross and Shirley Jennings. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
