She was loved and cherished by many people including : her spouse Dart Keech; her children, William Keech and Karen Keech (Ferrell-Bahnsen); her daughter-in-law Sunnie Keech; and her grandchildren, Rachele Keech (Grass Valley), Evan Keech (Santa Cruz), and Caleb Peterson (Santa Cruz).

She died in her home, her ranch in the hills of Santa Cruz, where she wanted her ashes to be scattered with her husband's.

“My Mother, Margaret (Peggy) Ferrell Keech, was born August 18th, 1925. She traveled the world with my Father, Pierce Albert Bahnsen. She remarried in 1958 to Dart Franklin Keech, and moved to San Jose, California, bordering on Cupertino. In 1968, they bought property in Santa Cruz; in 1973, they bought the ranch on Branciforte Dr. She was 93 when she died, and lived her life the way she wanted to. She and Dad liked to travel and did, to Africa, China, Great Britain.”
