He was predeceased by: his parents, Salvator "Jim" and Katherine Tranchina (Jelich); and his wife Margaret Kay "Maggie" Tranchina (Lynch). He is survived by: his daughter Julia (Jean); his brother Walter; his grandchildren, Ramona, Hector, Rhiannon, Lauren and Cameron; and his nephew Jeff.
