He was predeceased by: his wife Norma. He is survived by: his children, Sidnee Destaillats-Brown (Justin), David Destaillats and Jon Destaillats; and his grandchildren, Simone Brown El-Rakabawy (Adam), Mimi Brown, Luke Brown and Courtney Destaillats. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Memorial donations may be made to The Tourette Association of America.
