“In Betsy, I lost a dear friend. She was one of the kindest persons that I have ever met. I had gone to a graduate program with her and we became fast friends, without complication nor halting regard. Betsy was extremely erudite as well, but always noticeably thoughtful and attentive to whom she was speaking. Yesss, yes... but the thing is. That Betsy was an autodidact for "Life as Art." {there is not enough space here to regale her choice gifts.} with fondest regard, Peter Carpou”

“Like many friends, Betsy and I did not cross paths during the Covid years. I had no idea she was sick and only learned of her passing last week at another friend's memorial. What a weight on my heart that I did not get to talk with my effervescent, ever-kind, ever-smiling friend before she left this world. Betsy and I met as art students at UCSC and connected in many ways through the art community. Betsy talked me into my final teaching job, a job I loved for 10 years. I miss you, Betsy!”
