It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Al Mitchell (Santa Cruz, California), who passed away on July 25, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his children, William Earl and Clara Mitchell; his wife Ruth Ann; and his children, Eric (Alison), Nick (Amy) and Kirsten (Josh). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
At this time no memorial or paddle out is scheduled due to Covid 19 restrictions.
In lieu of flowers, any and all donations should be made to the Santa Cruz City Junior Lifeguard scholarship fund in his honor or the charity of your choice.
