Sami Tangi Obituary

We are sad to announce that on December 24, 2024, at the age of 75, Sami Tangi of Santa Clara, California passed away. Family and friends can send flowers and condolences in memory of the loved one. Though Sami may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Sami touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Meliame Nuku and Saevii Tangi. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Sue Tangi; his children, Sami Ray Latu (Jasmine), Daniel Tangi (Cindy), Meliane, Meliame Vai and Lupe Fifita; his granddaughter Laney Abigail Tangi; and his brother Lemeki Taliavini Tangi. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lima Family Erickson Memorial Chapel (710 Willow St, San Jose, CA 95125).
