“To the family of Michael: It has been a few years since I visited your home and hung out with Michael. We were friends since 8 years old. He was always a funny full of life child and even as an adult, he was the same. Michael loved to laugh and even more so, he loved to love. I witnessed many acts of kindness such as one time he listened to a stranger vent and gave him his full attention. He loved to compliment people and make them smile. Michael was a cheerleader to all- always encouraging people to pursue their dreams. He was my biggest hype man. I loved how much be loved people. Everywhere we went, he would talk to everybody. Michael was a very generous person in many ways. His laugh was contagious and so was his smile. He was a ray Charles with the sound board. He could pick up any instrument and play it perfectly. His voice was angelic. He could sing. He could rap. Actually, Michael was multi talented and there was nothing that he wasn’t good at. Michael was larger than life. We dated briefly and he treated me very well. He made me feel beautiful, talented and like I was the only person who existed when we went out. I never felt like I had to act a certain way around him. He fully accepted and loved me. Together, we would go to karaoke or out on the town. I would run into Michael almost everywhere I went over the years. It was always great to see him. I am so saddened to hear about his loss lately. I barely found out and I just want to let the Allen family know, I am deeply sorry for your loss. I know it hurts me so much and I can only imagine what you are enduring. Michael was and always will be one of the most special people to me. My memories with him are cherished. I will never forget him and the joy and love we shared. - Christina”
