Josephine Hernandez Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Josephine Hernandez (Santa Clara, California), who passed away on March 12, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Beatrice M. Picazo and Margarito D. Picazo; her husband John L. Hernández; her daughters, Peggy, Pamela and Patricia; her sons-in-law, Geoffrey Ide, John and Terry Holzemer; her granddaughters, Vanessa H. Ide and Veronica; and her siblings, Sally Pfeiffer, Nellie Erickson, Robert Lira and Mike Lira. She was also cherished by numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
Even after a stroke three years ago diminished her memory, she retained her humor and survived a bout of Covid, a fractured hip and another stroke.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Josephine P. Hernández towards the "Thirty-One Women" tuition assistance campaign at Notre Dame San Jose, 596 S. 2nd St., San Jose, CA 95112.
