He was predeceased by: his wife Filomena; and his son Antonio. He is survived by: his son Tony; his granddaughters, Victoria and Antonia; and his siblings, Antonio, Adelide, Maria and Carolina. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
Jose was a very giving person and gave many donations to POSS to help the Portuguese community in San Jose.
