He was predeceased by: his parents, Myron Leslie Fairchild and Harriet Fairchild (DeGraff); his wife Mary Lou Fairchild; his son Peter Fairchild; and his siblings, Myron Fairchild and Leslie Focha.

He is survived by: his significant other Joann Valentine of Mesa, Arizona; and his children, Steven Fairchild (Kathy) and Marianne Fox.
