He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose and Maria; and his brothers, John, Jose, Antonio and Rafael.

He is survived by: his daughter America; his wife Maria Celeste (Martins); his daughters, Valerie (Steve) and Ana (Steve); his grandsons, Derek, Bryce and Sean; and his siblings, Maria, Conceisao, Bernadette and Manuel. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
