He was predeceased by: his parents, Gassaway Brashears and Marcella Shephard Brashears; and his siblings, George Brashears and Betty Ann Turentine (Lawrence). He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jean Rife; and his children, Greg, Chris, Anne, Mike and Carol.
