He was predeceased by: his parents, Hipolito Cheney and Oralia Cheney; his close friend Linda Dexheimer; and his brother-in-law Thomas Butler. He is survived by: his children, Nick Cheney (Laura) and Tessa Cheney (Paul Villarreal); his grandchildren, Adelyn Villarreal, Thomas Reyes, Haven Albrecht, Jimmy Blaine Albrecht and Stephen Dexheimer; and his siblings, Raymond Cheney (Cindi), Gilbert Cheney (Lenore), Daniel Cheney (Rita), Mary Zamora (Danny), Yolanda Cheney-Montano (Osvaldo) and Gloria Butler. He is also survived by many cousins, nephews and nieces.
