He is survived by: his wife Christine; his son Melvin Ray; his siblings, Walter of Sanger, Gwen Swofford of Missouri and John Henry (Lynette); his nieces, Jolene of Utah and Marie Garrett of Missouri; and his nephew Matthew Gladdin of Missouri.
