He was predeceased by: his son Timothy Isonio; and his siblings, Frank Isonio and Carol Haynes. He is survived by: his wife Nellie Isonio of Sanger; his children, Jim Isonio of Los Angeles and Pam Leitch of Portland, Oregon; and his stepchildren, Francis Clay Smith of Sanger, Kenneth Smith of Arkansas and Donna K. Brinkley of Arkansas. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; and 31 great grandchildren.
