He is survived by: his sons, Anthony Bernal of Sanger and Alec Gonzales of Fresno; his grandson Melakai Bernal; his daughter-in-law Melinda Pecina-Bernal; and his siblings, Alice Garcia of Oakland, Sandra Gonzales of Oakland, Irene Kayaian of Clovis, Isaias of Sanger and Ray Cuevas of Sanger. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
