He was predeceased by: his parents, Suren Melkonian and Violet Melkonian. He is survived by: his girlfriend Carmen Vitale; his son Adam Melkonian; and his brothers, Dennis Melkonian (Victoria) and Mark Melkonian (Cheri). He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
