He was predeceased by: his siblings, George Kunkel and Rosemary McLinden. He is survived by: his children, Thomas John Kunkel Jr., Margaret Theresa Skillicorn and Annamarie Patricia Seibel; and his sister Claire Getchell. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and countless family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers his family requests donations be made to: Most Holy Rosary Chapel, Catholic Charities St. Vincent's School for Boys, One St. Vincent Drive.
