It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Josephine Babek of San Pedro, California, who passed away at the age of 95, on February 12, 2025. She was predeceased by: her siblings, John, Lawrence, Rocco and Annunziata Benucci; and her siblings-in-law, Marie Lauro and Giuseppe Benucci.
She is survived by: her husband George Babek; her sons, Robert Babek (Lydia) and Matt Babek (Pamela); her grandchildren, Lauren (Tanner), Robert II (Sara), Valerie (Robert), Mickey and George; her great grandchildren, Ethan, Luke, Robby and Ivo; her brother Rosario Lauro; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Lauro, Maria Lauro and Carla Lauro. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the McNerney's Mortuary (570 W. 5th Street, San Pedro, CA 90731). A rosary will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Mary Star of the Sea Church (877 W 7th St, San Pedro, CA 90731). A burial will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at the Green Hills Cemetery (27501 S Western Ave, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275).
