He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Serpa and Nora Serpa of San Pedro; and his parents-in-law, John and Kay Mattera of San Pedro. He is survived by: his wife Susan; his daughter Melissa Macias; his son-in-law Fernando Macias; his granddaughter Vivianna Macias; and his pets, Lad and Bucky. He is also survived by met the love of his life through a mutual friend.
