She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Angel Alvarez; her children, Nick and Cheryl Alvarez; her granddaughter Natalie Alvarez; her parents, Edward Navarro and Ramona Navarro; and her siblings, Rick, Jack, Jim, Herm, Frank, Lou, Richie, Chita, Connie, Babe and Bob Navarro. She was also cherished by nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends.

“Lucy was our beloved secretary at Tara Hills School. I loved her, as we all did. Somehow she did her difficult job well and always with a sense of humor. No matter how high the piles on her desk were , she could find whatever you needed and answer all of your questions. It was always wonderful to see her smile every morning and hear her laugh in the office. I once buzzed her from my classroom and did not get a response. About 30 minutes later she buzzed me, saying, Yeees? We both laughed a lot!”
