He was predeceased by: his sisters, Aurora Serpa, Agnes Diodati and Nell Crain. He is survived by: his nephew John P. Diodati; his niece Mary Diodati (Bill); and also, John G. Diodati (Abby) and Jason G. Diodati (Carli).

Donations can be made, in remembrance of John H. Tonini, to Wilshire Hospice to benefit others needing end of life care.
