He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe D. Silva and Anna Silva; his son Ronald Silva; and his siblings, Joe Jr. (Silva), Mary Woods and Georgina Mele.

He is survived by: his wife Ruth Silva; his son David Silva; his grandsons, Che Silva and Ronald Silva; and his great grandchildren, Braxton Silva and Averee Silva.
