He was predeceased by: his wife Bea; and his daughter Kary. He is survived by: his sons, Mark (Julia) and Charlie (Ki); and his granddaughter Ella.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 am, Saturday, November 10, 2018, at the First Presbyterian Church in San Luis Obispo In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Alzheimer's Association.
