She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Thomas and Gennett V. Gardner-Chandler; and her stepfather Sylvion Chandler. She is survived by: her husband Derek Brown; her son Shanoul Antonio; her stepchildren, Stacy, Derek Jr. and Jason; her grandchildren, Sophia (Sofie), Jules, Cesar (Yum Yum) and Josiah (Jojo); her siblings, Heather Thomas, Grier Thomas, Sonia Keene, Claudette Thomas, Patrice Thomas, Laquerre, Conway Thomas, MacNorton Thomas and Kioni Thomas; her aunt Thelma Simon; and her siblings-in-law, Carol Brown, Lai Martinez, Lolieta Thomas, Dawn Brown, Leann, Donald Jr. and Paul. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, Special friends.
