He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy D. Compton and Pearlie Compton (Ventress) of Pine Bluff, AR.. He is survived by: his wife April Sidonia Compton (Leon) of San Leandro, California; his children, Scotty Charles Compton, Gavin Perry Leon Compton and Chloe Inez Compton; and his brothers, Ricky D. Compton of Pine Bluff, AR and Aaron T. Compton of Wylie, Texas.
