He was predeceased by: his wife Sarah Quiroz; his daughter Natalie Quiroz; his mother Manuela "Nellie" Quiroz; and his brothers, Ygnacio Quiroz and William Gomez.
He is survived by: his siblings, Beatrice Lopez and Daniel Romero (Josie); his children, John Quiroz Jr (Esperanza), Yvonne Matheny (Robert), Lisa Russell (Les) and Nadine Quiroz (Charles); and his grandchildren, Angela Quiroz, Amanda Schmit (Johnathan), Robert Matheny, Natalie Matheny, Jordan Nelson, Chance Garland, Jayden Garland and Nathan Schmit. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
