He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Louis Ortega Bega and Antonia Cortez Marquez Torreno; his siblings, Annie Salsedo (Bega), Joseph Bega and Louie Bega; his son Daniel Bega (Petrina Perry); his grandchildren, Marisa Petrina (Luke Gover), Mark Daniel, Stephanie Ann and Christopher John (Alyssa Larson); and his great grandchildren, Nathaniel Jeremy, Logan James and Gia Josephine. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, family, friends.
