He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Shimko and Veronica Lukatch Shimko; his brother Donald E. Shimko; his wife Alice Louise Kalmback; his daughter Cynthia Johnson Denise Bloomer (James); and his grandchildren, Jeffrey Johnson, Jessica Peckham, Joylyn Erb, Chanae Moore, Abagail Bloomer, Spencer Ian Davie, Cooper Joseph Davie and Thomas Johnson. He was also cherished by 11 great grandchildren.
