He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruce Edwin Walters and Jeanette Walters (Henderson); his stepfathers, Bill Barrow and Leon Tidwell; his niece Andrea Fry; and his great-nephew Spencer Allred.

He is survived by: his wife Angela Marie Jukes; his children, Heather and Brendan; and his siblings, Genice Bryant (Anthony, Sr.) of Gilmer, Texas, Edwina Edwards (Robert) of Rockwall, Texas and A. B. Walters (Elizabeth) of Burnet, Texas. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, their spouses and children.
