Martin J Valtierra Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martin J Valtierra (San Jose, California), born in El Paso, Texas, who passed away on July 28, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends.

Martin J. Valtierra, Loving Father & Grandfather has gone home to join the lord's side. ​

Before he decided to retire in Oregon, Martin was a life-long resident of California. As a young man, he served in the Army and traveled to many beautiful countries while in the service. ​

He married young, and fathered two beautiful daughters, who he considered the most important part of his life. ​

Martin was a devoted Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and entertaining them with stories of his days in the Army.​

He enjoyed fishing, camping, and sitting outside on cooler evenings while watching the wild turkeys or deer roam. ​

Martin made friends everywhere he went, and always had a welcoming smile. He was ready to offer a kind hand to anyone in need. He will be remembered for his great respect of people and his kind heart and being the life of the party.​

Is survived by his Two Daughters: Bliss Lori Barger-Valtierra, Cindy Valtierra Brewer. Grandchildren: Brendan T. Lash, Ryu K. Smith, Kaiya S. Smith, Ember W. Smith, Griffyn A.L Smith, Adrianna M. Kant Lehner, Jason M. Brewer, Justin R. Brewer. Great Grandchild: Koa P. Joersz. Friend & Ex-Wife: Marie A. Garza​
