She is survived by: her husband Manuel Silveira Sanches; her children, Maria Das Dores Bettencourt (Joe) and Joe Manuel Sanches (Filomena); her grandchildren, Daniel, Diane, Debra and Christopher; her great grandchildren, Isabella, Téabella, Tiago, Jaxson, Talia, Emma, Cruz and Luzia; her sisters, Anne Cardoso and Rosa Soares; and her sister-in-law Alice Ramos. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
